OPEN STUDIO: Learning the Basic of Pottery

We are excited to announce the upcoming Open Studios, at the Clay Studio where we bring to you the basics to learning pottery! With a Clay Studio in our backyard, if you have been on a lookout for a guided introduction that helps you explore your curiosity in pottery, look no further!

Date: 26th February, 2024

Time: 7 P.M. to 8:30 P.M.

Venue: Clay Studio. Beauki Hostel, IIT Gandhinagar

The workshop is the first one of the series, where we guide beginners on campus to understand the equipment, tools, techniques and the materials with us as they explore an art which has had a continuous history from the Neolithic period to today.

We request all interested to fill this form for us to understand the material requirements for this workshop.

About the Artist: Rahul Gautam is a MASC student at IITGN with a background in fine arts during his intermediate studies. He has a passion for sculpture making, particularly focusing on depictions of deities and researching the portrayal of homosexuality in Indian art history. From a young age, Rahul has been interested in painting and sketching, which he continues to explore within his research field.
