About the event

We are excited to inform you about an upcoming Film Making Workshop organized by Art@IITGN. This workshop is designed for enthusiasts at all levels who are eager to delve into the world of filmmaking. Date: February 25-27 | Time: 9-11 pm | Venue: Art Studio, Central Arcade

The workshop will be conducted by Prabhash Chandra and Julia Sokolnicka PRABHASH CHANDRA - is dedicated to crafting narratives rooted in real-life experiences. He weaves captivating stories that transcend traditional narrative structures, immersing viewers in poetic and philosophical realms. His work evokes a meditative quality, encouraging introspection and fostering a deeper understanding of the human experience. His aspiration is to engage audiences not only on an intellectual level but also on an emotional and spiritual level. Prabhash's debut feature film, "I'm Not the River Jhelum," he has received recognition for his thought-provoking storytelling, and multiple prestigious awards have humbly encouraged his journey as a creator in the industry. Currently, Prabhash is working on his next feature film, an eagerly anticipated project that allows him to share another cinematic work from his minimalist approach. JULIA SOKOLNICKA - born in Warsaw (Poland) in 1983, is an experimental and documentary filmmaker, writer and researcher.
Her practice moves between social philosophy, video, and performance. She studied Philosophy at Warsaw University and Film Directing at Wajda School and Katowice NFTS. In 2016 she graduated from the Dutch Film Academy in Amsterdam with an Artistic Research in Film master's degree. She's currently working with social choreographies, notions of realness, simultaneity and collage and personal archive narratives. Julia lives and works in Amsterdam. She's a coordinator of the "Hearth" Artistic Research in Film program. She's a co-creator of the Researcher's Office group and a performative intervention group, Physical People. <juliasokolnicka.com>No prior experience is required.
